Nobody is ever happy dieting, while exercise can be fun when you find something you like, and can be done in groups you can not not - eat food for a friend!. Every 3500 calories you burn will cause the loss of 1 pound of body fat. If you burn 500 calories a day in exercise, you will lose 1 pound per week, the normal reccomended limit for safe weight loss; if you burn 250 calories a day, you can lose 1 pound every 2 weeks, which is good if you haven't exercised for a while - and, considering you're so close to your goal already and you have until summer 2008 to lose what little excess you have, it should be good enough for you. - Hi Haruko. the only way to loose wieght is to take in less calories and get moving. start out slow, like walking briskly around your neighborhood. Once you start feeling stronger, skip some of the time during the walk, and walk BACKWARDS this uses a different muscle group. eat lots of fresh raw if possible fruits and veggies, cut down on dairy and red meat, and try to avoid salty food and gluten.
